Carolina Beach fishing for 2017 has started with whiting biting just off the beaches of Bald Head Island, these fish showed up the second week of March this is a fun experience child, enjoy the steady action these charters can provide. Black drum and red drum are biting in Buzzard Bay along with flounder which have just started to bite this past week. Bluefish had an early arrival this season with large fish showing up in the surf and piers. Spanish mackerel biting right off the Carolina Beach sea buoy, with king mackerel have hit the five-mile box cars. Cobia have been caught right off Southport found feeding around the large schools of menhaden, I really enjoy pitching live bait to these fish, light tackle provides quite a battle.

Spanish mackerel/Cobia landed

Lot’s of fun to be had in Carolina Beach!
